Senior Technical Artist (Unreal Engine 4/5)

Metatec Production is a VR development company focusing on the next generation of immersive online experiences and providing content creation and programming services to VR and metaverse companies. We create state-of-the-art VR products on various platforms using the latest technologies, approaches, and toolsets.


  • Working in Unreal Engine with variety of visuals
  • Working with UE Blueprints/Animation Blueprints
  • Working with Shaders/Materials
  • Optimization/Profiling of Graphics
  • Technology research, VR, rendering features
  • Preparation of character/art assets guidelines with respect of quality/performance
  • Interaction with technology and creative partners, art department and MoCap studio
  • Documentation of important information related to working with content in Confluence or its equivalent


  • 7+ years of work with realtime 3d graphics
  • 3+ years of Unreal Engine development experience
  • Understanding of tech budget constraints, performance balancing, profiling
  • Good understanding of realtime rendering pipeline in general and in Unreal Engine
  • Good understanding of Blueprints
  • Great understanding in Shaders/Materials
  • C++ Knowledge, ability to read Unreal Source code
  • Knowledge of any CCS (Maya, 3ds Max)
  • Unreal VFX (Niagara/Cascade)
  • Experience with Animation, Unreal Animation Blueprints
  • Experience with UMG/Slate
  • Understanding of Unreal network replication
  • HLSL/GLSL knowledge
  • Understanding of VR limitations and best practices
  • OpenGL/Vulkan/DX knowledge
  • Houdini experience
  • Participation in commercial releases of projects made in Unreal Engine 4 (high budget AAA projects are a plus.)
  • Perforce (P4) experience
  • Unreal Python scripting/Blutilities
  • Procedural mesh generation
  • RTX/Raytracing experience
